This painting is inspired by a bouquet of dried roses in multiple colors. Perhaps, it is a still life, but not a still life in the traditional sense. Roses are the artist’s favorite flower and when she finished the painting she decided that it reminded her of the flower scene in her favorite Disney movie-Alice in Wonderland. “All in the Golden Afternoon” is the song that they sang in that scene.
