This painting was born out of the artist’s feeling of being lost in life and needing guidance. In Hodinöhšyo:ni:h culture, the moon is referred to as grandmother moon. In Hodinöhšyo:ni:h history, the ancestors utilized the stars for navigation. This painting depicts the artist calling upon her ancestors for the guidance that she needed in her life at that time.
